The 2024 Mortgage Conference offered an exciting lineup of expert speakers on the most current topics in mortgage servicing and foreclosure prevention. Two beginner sessions provided grounding for advocates new to mortgage servicing work: a foreclosure defense overview and a walk through of the federal mortgage servicing rules. We delved into federal loss mitigation updates, including FHA’s new Payment Supplement Partial Claim. 

Top litigators walked through zombie second mortgages and credit reporting claims for homeowners. Experts capped all that off with an exploration of hot topics, including shared equity products, preventing property tax foreclosures on heirs property, and the seismic shifts happening with homeowner’s insurance. 

Our pre-conference intensive provided a deep dive on pre-trial mortgage servicing litigation, from case selection to drafting complaints to discovery and settlement issues.
