CFPB Field Hearing on “Zombie Second Mortgage Debt” in Brooklyn

On Wednesday, April 26, 2023 the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) visited Brooklyn, New York, where Director Rohit Chopra hosted a discussion with NCLC senior attorney Andrea Bopp Stark and local community organizations, advocates, leaders, and members of the public about “zombie” second mortgages.
