The National Consumer Law Center advanced consumer justice in many ways in 2024. In addition to direct advocacy on behalf of low-income consumers, we provided training to the consumer law community through in-person conferences, webinars, digital articles and publications, online resources, and in the media. Number of advocates trained: 11,135 (up from 8,769 in 2023)
NCLC/NACA conferences attendance: 1,609 (up from 1,372 in 2023)

NCLC advocates participated in 64 on-site and virtual trainings during 2024.
NCLC co-sponsored, along with the Social Law Library, a four-part webinar series on consumer debt, providing the knowledge attorneys need to assist low-to-moderate-income clients.
Awards presented for outstanding achievements in the consumer law community:
- Janet Varnell received the Vern Countryman award, consumer law’s highest honor.
- Daniel J. Schneider earned the Rising Star award.
