The federal EV tax credits can help make used and new electric vehicles more affordable to consumers. This sign-on letter, drafted by NRDC, advocates for consumer-friendly rules for the federal electric vehicle tax credit including:
- Supporting the proposed guidance on the Section 30C Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit, specifically definitions of 1) non-urban census tract, 2) single item of property, and 3) capitalizable property,
- Reiterating our recommendation for defining low population census tracts, and
- A recommendation to improve the look-up tool for individuals and business to confirm eligibility for the tax credit.
