The National Consumer Law Center (on behalf of its low-income clients), along with a coalition of over 45 environmental justice and civil rights organizations, submitted a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), calling on the agency to reject a petition filed by Republican attorneys general which would rescind vital Title VI protections. The letter touts the importance of Title VI in safeguarding Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and other marginalized communities from disproportionate environmental harms.
