Having an attorney is often essential to access the court system. NCLC supports funding for the Legal Services Corporation; statutes and rules awarding attorneys’ fees to prevailing consumers; and other measures to ensure access to counsel and consumers’ ability to participate fully and fairly in court proceedings.
