E-Sign: Electronic Records & Signatures

Federal and state laws permit writing requirements to be replaced with electronic records and “electronic signatures” to be used in place of pen and ink signatures. These laws apply requirements that govern how electronic media can be used, including a specific consumer consent process to ensure that electronic media is not used to facilitate fraud.
